Back in February, we wrote about NetSuite Next as Oracle’s AI-enhanced evolution of the NetSuite platform: a conversational assistant, narrative summaries in reports, and workflows designed to automate the routine while keeping humans in charge of the exceptions. At the time, based on the information available, we expected it to reach Ireland and the UK around SuiteConnect London on 31 March 2026.
Six months on, it’s worth checking that expectation against what actually happened, because the two aren’t quite the same thing, and the difference matters if you’re planning around it.
What SuiteConnect London Actually Delivered
SuiteConnect London did happen, and it did matter. But what launched there wasn’t the full NetSuite Next platform, it was a related but separate piece: the AI Connector Service. Oracle announced that NetSuite could connect directly to external AI assistants, including Claude, Gemini, and ChatGPT, through an open standard called the Model Context Protocol (MCP). A prompt library, pre-built workflow context for AI models, and an analytics warehouse integration all became available in English at that event.
That’s genuinely useful: finance teams can already ask an AI assistant to pull overdue accounts or surface trends in receivables without waiting on the broader NetSuite Next rollout. But it’s a different feature set from the core NetSuite Next experience, the new Redwood interface and the built-in Ask Oracle assistant, which hadn’t shipped to any customer yet at that point.
What’s Actually New: NetSuite Next Started Rolling Out in July
The real milestone landed on 15 July 2026, when Oracle confirmed that NetSuite Next begins rolling out with the NetSuite 2026.2 release. This is the first time the platform has moved from announcement to actual customer accounts.
Here’s what that rollout looks like in practice:
- Ask Oracle, the conversational AI assistant at the centre of NetSuite Next, lets users query data, generate reports, and complete tasks in plain language, all within existing roles and permissions.
- Businesses can request a preview account, a full copy of their current environment, including data and customisations, to test NetSuite Next before switching over.
- Administrators can activate NetSuite Next directly in production and grant access role by role, so a finance team could move over before the rest of the business does.
- There is no forced migration and no reimplementation. Existing data, roles, permissions, and customisations carry across as-is.
The detail that matters most for Irish readers: Oracle’s own release notes state this rollout is currently available to customers in the United States and Canada, with additional countries described as “coming soon.” No confirmed date for Ireland or the UK has been published in Oracle’s official materials as of this writing.
That’s a meaningful correction to the timeline we, and much of the wider NetSuite ecosystem, expected back in February. Some industry coverage of SuiteConnect London has floated an informal UK release estimate for around April 2027, but that figure comes from a single interview rather than an Oracle-published commitment, so we’re treating it as a data point to watch rather than a confirmed date.
So What Should Irish Businesses Actually Do Right Now?
Waiting isn’t the same as doing nothing. A few things are worth acting on today, regardless of when NetSuite Next itself lands here:
Use what’s already available
The AI Connector Service, prompt library, workflow context, analytics warehouse integration, is live now and works with tools your team may already use, including Claude. This doesn’t require NetSuite Next to be enabled.
Get your governance house in order
NetSuite Next’s agentic workflows operate inside existing security roles, but only if those roles are configured properly. Reviewing who can approve what, and where AI-assisted actions should still require sign-off, is work you can do before the feature exists in your account.
Watch your release notes, not just the headlines
Oracle’s country rollout decisions show up in release documentation before they show up in press coverage. If you’re a NetSuite administrator, the 2026.2 release notes and Release Preview requests are the most reliable early signal for when Ireland gets access.
Keep the original question in view
Where does your ERP create friction today? Which processes eat disproportionate manual effort? That evaluation doesn’t need to wait for a feature toggle, and it’s the work that determines whether NetSuite Next delivers value once it does arrive.

It’s just worth planning around the real timeline instead of the anticipated one.
